This photograph of a fine old portrait painting of James Wyllie, the Herd Laddie, is provided courtesy of Dru Leoidsson, who bought the painting in Edinburgh without knowing much about its subject, until stumbling upon this web site some 25 years later. During this time the portrait has always hung on his wall, first in Edinburgh, then on Orkney, and now on the Isle of Man.
